Privacy

The short version: no cookies, no ads, no tracking. The only personal information I get is what you choose to send me.

What this site collects

  • The contact form. If you send a message, your name, email address, and message go through Formspree, which emails them to me. I only use them to reply to you.
  • The mailing list. If you sign up for a free demo, your email address goes to Kit, the service that runs my mailing list. Kit emails you a link to confirm, then sends the download. After that, I'll occasionally email you about new sound libraries and releases. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes you off the list right away. I never sell or share the list.
  • Email. Mail sent to any @wchrapcynski.com or @wchrapcynski.net address is forwarded to my personal inbox by Cloudflare.
  • Visitor counts. I use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see things like how many people visit and which pages are popular. It doesn't use cookies and doesn't identify you or follow you around the web.
  • Hosting. The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes standard request details (like your IP address) to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse.

Cookies and storage

This site doesn't set cookies. If you use the light/dark mode button, your choice is saved in your own browser's local storage so it's remembered next time. It never leaves your device.

Content from other services

Some pages load content straight from these services, which can see your IP address when they do:

  • Flickr serves the photos in project galleries.
  • Gumroad provides the checkout on pages with a "Buy" button. If you buy something, Gumroad handles the purchase and your payment details; I see your order the same way any Gumroad seller does.
  • YouTube plays the videos on some pages, but only once you press play. Until then, nothing is loaded from YouTube (the preview image comes from this site). Videos play in YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode.

The fonts and video preview images are hosted on this site, so no outside service sees your visit to them.

Your information, your call

If you've emailed me, used the contact form, or joined the mailing list and want to know what I have, or want it deleted, just ask at wchrapcynski@gmail.com.
